The operating system for the VisionCam XM2 is based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS 'Focal'.
The following additional packages are pre-installed for the VisionCam XM2:
The NVIDIA JetPack SDK is not included in OS releases, but it can be installed online (see Installing JetPack). The user can also install packages provided by the standard Ubuntu repositories.
New Linux releases for the VisionCam XM2 are provided as recovery packages. A recovery package contains the Linux image (tar.gz) and scripts for installing images and for creating backup images.
